Krisp on phone and VoIP calls
Krisp cleans the audio on calls you make through apps on your computer, including softphones and VoIP tools. It works the same way it does for meetings: it sits between your microphone and the calling app and removes background noise in both directions.
On your computer
For VoIP and softphone apps (the kind sales teams and support agents use), the setup is the usual one:
- Install and open Krisp, set your real mic and speaker, and turn on noise cancellation. See our download guide.
- In your calling or softphone app's audio settings, choose Krisp Microphone and Krisp Speaker.
Because Krisp cleans both directions, it also reduces noise coming from the person on the other end, which is valuable on customer calls.
On mobile
On phones, operating systems limit what apps can do to native carrier calls, so Krisp's mobile app focuses on recording, transcribing, and summarizing meetings rather than cleaning a regular phone call. For clean audio on the go, use Krisp with a calling app rather than the native dialer.
Krisp vs KrispCall (not the same thing)
If you searched "krisp call," note that Krisp and KrispCall are different products. Krisp is the voice AI app covered here. KrispCall is a separate cloud phone system. This guide is about using Krisp for clean call audio.

The free plan covers 60 minutes a day with no card, enough to test it on a real call.
